"Endangered species are our friends". In 2006, Yao Ming pledged that he would stop eating shark fin soup. Yes, I did say SHARK FIN soup. It may not sound like much to westerners, but in China shark fin soup is very expensive and has a honourable history. Plus, the emperors loved shark fin soup.

Today if you go to almost any Chinese restaurant, you can order shark fin soup, fresh lobsters and many other dishes that involve animals. Why do these places serve this? These dishes are usually the most popular instead of the old noodle dish. In the company's point of view, if they can make more money, I bet you they would do it. I mean, who wouldn't?

If this continues, there won't be any more of these animals left. Then what would we do? Have a world where all of the animals are extinct? I don't know about you, but I'd much rather live in a world where there are other existing animals.
